What films have been influenced by La Jetee?
Terry Gilliam remade the film in 1995 as "Twelve Monkeys" with Bruce Willis and Madeleine Stowe.  This reviewer thinks it probably also influenced James Cameron's Terminator.
Write a review of La Jetee
I loved this film.  Moving images were unnecessary when the narrator's voice spelled out the story moment by moment.  About halfway through, I realized that this is the story of 12 Monkeys and must have been a direct influence on that film. I don't think it would have been effective as a long film- 20 minutes of narration and still images is about right.
