animation reviews, Gobelins, 14 July

Gobelins School of the Image, France
Is it the school, or France in general?
Fol'Amor  Sexy times out in the woods as a lady encourages her suitor to pull the sword from the stone.
Lotte  Based on the work of silhouette animator Lotte Reinenger, this sweet dance ends with the real life Lotte looking out the window and shutting it on the Nazi flag flapping over occupied France.
Trois petits points  The most personally disturbing of the three.  The woman is so happy to be sewing first her wounded husband, then her community, then Europe back together after WWI.  Behind her, her husband begins to transform into this scissor-headed beast that rips up everything she's achieved once she's turned her back.

Meanwhile, back in America...
11 Paper Place  A rogue printer spews paper into a basket and a world of paper paper living in paper buildings and paper cars is created, only to see the couple separated by the recycling drive.  Am I supposed to stop recycling?  Not sure.
