Outrunning the Sun: An Exploration of the Transition from Static to Moving Image
Objectives: Collaborate with a musician to create a score or soundtrack relevant to the piece. Digitize the illustrations and print them in a booklet. Create an animation from the pieces.
Questions: What difference does the viewer experience when moving from an active content consumption experience to a passive one? What changes to content and understanding occur when changing size or format?
Research question based on group work chat with Reuben, Ben and Ken: how do directors of movies translate personal experiences to inform thier movies. Roman Polanski and The Pianist? with Adrien Brody

I'm the engine of this project.
3 pieces of work (sketches, investigations, with analysis) due next week. critiques of 3 works in progress experiments, trials, tests, each supported by concise statement regarding relevance to project. Powerpoint? Paragraph, written, with pictures to turn in. Refine question regarding viewer feedback so content is not the focus.
Look at graphic novelists for how they connect images... should 5 pieces be links or "bubble world" that don't connect to the next?
If links to images are used, those could be animated for final project.
