BSA215, comic story outline, 31 July, 2016

Show and tell next week, digital drop-in following Monday at noon. character turn around, character emotion sheets, environment sketches, colour and style references

When the previous story ended, Agent Mary-Marie MacIntosh and F. Scott McMurdo had joined forces. Section-Chief William S. Pierce finishes the mission briefing: a gene splice has been unleashed in the past rendering the future population of the Federated Scandi-Eurozone docile to the point of death by ennui.  Their mission is to stop The Machine, a rogue Chrono agent, from seeding the past.  McMurdo and MacIntosh pass through The Library to gather information on what era is likely to be hiding The Machine.  They take a short cut through a Time Tunnel but are waylaid by Earhart’s henchmen.    Before they have a chance to fight their way through, the polar bear that has been stalking the men crashes through the fight, seriously wounding Agent Macintosh before being brought down.  Left for dead under the corpse of the bear, McMurdo is hauled off to meet The Machine.  The Machine is revealed to be Amelia Earhart and whatever bits of her plane and unlucky people the Nanites keeping her alive were able to scavenge parts from.  The Nanites in MacIntosh’s bloodstream have been busy, too, but are the ever resourceful Agent and her furry steed too late to save the future?

Chrono –Hub7 Section Chief William S. Pierce had started to fill McMurdo in on why Das Kapitol was empty of all but IKE security robots and meatball processing plants.  He now finishes the story: Complicit with their government, The Machine has loosed a gene splice on the ancestors of the Federated Scandi-Eurozone (FSEUZ) in the past with the intention of creating a docile and accepting population.  The splice was too effective, though and over time, the people became so docile that their apathy killed them.  Struggling eco-refugees like McMurdo and his family were lured in with propaganda only to be captured by IKE robots had been left with the twin mandates of preventing all illegal immigration into the FSEUZ and preparing delicious meatballs to welcome visitors.
