Research, My Favorite Thing is Monsters graphic novel, 23 February, 2017

There was a review of this graphic novel on NPR's Fresh Air with Terry Gross.  This seems to be the only place where I hear about new things to see, watch and listen to.  The images are great- drawn in ball point pen on lined notebook paper, just like the lead character, Karen, drew them during class.  My favourite part is that Emil Ferris is 55 and this is her first published work.  Like the artist Carmen Herrera, who got her first solo exhibition at the Whitney at 101 years old, it's not over, no matter how old I get.
