BSA324, bat art examples, 22 March, 2017

draw fruit bat guide

I'm exploring changing my little dog into a little bat and I'm not sure how to go about it.  I've got reference pictures for the pekapeka, but I want to avoid being literal.  I need to create a character that resonates, not an anatomical guide.  So this fruit bat guide is helpful- remember that this is a cute, furry body with wings and go from there.

Kaitlin Sutherland has a good handle on what to do with bats
Rats with arms and legs and webbing coming from their arms and running to their bodies.
I just don't think I have anything interesting to say about bats.  I love my little shaky dog Mr. Picklesniffer and his character.

Dr. Picklesniffer collage in progress.
