BSA326, Mo-cap, 24 March, 2017

SIT has an Xsens portable mo-cap system.  It's $60,000 for the system, including software, so we only have one.  What we have is quite flexible, though, and it isn't like people are going to be clamoring to use it all at the same time.

exports as .fbx file- these are files that we use for holding motion data so it can be transferred from skeleton to skeleton

(.obj holds object geometry)

We watched footage captured last year when Reuben (6'4") and Anita's brother Marcus (6'9"!) wore the suit.  The system records each frame of movement.
The system was able to follow one user from upstage to the toilets and track him through cement walls.  So, good range.
